Woodlands+Bäckafall

Woodlands+Bäckafall is a power quartet consisting of two established duos within the Swedish and Celtic music scene, that create their own take on the Scottish and Swedish folk music tradition, and challenge it on harp, guitar, violin and nyckelharpa. Songs in Gaelic, French, English and Swedish are playfully woven together with driving reels, captivating waltzes and mysterious ballads. A wholesome experience where everyone in the audience, both old as well as young, will be grooving along!

The collaboration between the two duos, which started as a spontaneous one-time concert, felt so natural from the very beginning that the band members, Kristina Leesik (violin, voice), Justyna Krzyżanowska (harp, voice), Fredy Samuel Lundh (nyckelharpa) and Hampus Grönberg (guitar), have now been playing together for two years. The merge of their instruments and talents have lifted their music and joy of playing to a new level, both for the musicians themselves as well as the audience.
